I was really happy a friend recommended Dr. Maus. I hadn't been to the dentist in several years and wasn't looking forward to it but the visit was pleasant and I left feeling really happy that I took the time to take care of my teeth. The office is clean and nice and everyone was very friendly. The equipment seems very current and I felt very confident about the procedures.

This is the best dental office I've ever been to (including NYC) and I'm glad a coworker recommended her.

Dr. Maus is professional, warm and thorough. Her office is super clean, she's got modern equipment (I saw my teeth on TV in black & white, diagrammed on computer, and photographed), and she caused me no pain when she did a filling. She is transparent about what she's doing and takes time to explain it, making you feel safe and pampered but without detracting from quality work.

Everyone in her office is professional, engaging and courteous. You forget that you're in a dentist's office and actually look forward to the visit.

I moved from Boston concerned I wouldn't find a Dentist that I liked as much as the one I had found there. Fortunately, Dr. Maus has been phenomenal and exceeded my expectations. She is very thorough, explains everything she's doing, and is willing to answer any and all questions. I've had two cleanings and in office whitening. During each of those visits I've been comfortable and relaxed. The whitening turned out great and my coworkers have noticed the difference.

Dr. Maus' staff is high quality as well. I'm very happy I found Dr. Maus' practice and will continue to be her patient as long as I live in San Francisco.

I found dr. maus 3+ yrs ago by word of mouth. Although apprehensive at first, my fears were laid to rest upon my first phone contact with her receptionist Nydia. I was greeted with friendly courteous people right from the start. My first appointment was for a routine check up & teeth cleaning. I have also had veneers for aesthetic purposes and a much needed crown replaced. The treatment & results were an A++. Dr. Maus has a gentle touch and calm chair side manner. Her assistants Karla, Martha and Christine, are also, professional, courteous and friendly making my experience from beginning to end a very positive one. It's wierd but I actually look forward to visiting my dental office.

My entire family, including myself, my wife, and my son, have been Dr. Maus's patients for about 15 years. We moved from San Francisco to San Mateo 9 years ago, but we continue seeing her nonetheless. What's a 40-minute-long drive compared to a dentist like that? Not only is she a great dentist, she's also a wonderful human being. I keep telling her I feel so relaxed and reassured in her chair that I almost doze off. In the 15 years I've been her patient I have NEVER felt any pain AT ALL. I don't know how she manages to do that. Her offices are located just one block from Union Square in San Francisco; each room has a window and features natural lighting and fresh air. Her office equipment is top-notch. Her hands are so light they are weightless. What I also love about her is that she always explains what she does at every point in time. I always refer all my friends and relatives to her. I feel so lucky and thankful to have her.

Dr. Maus is gentle, soft-spoken, very professional and thorough. She does not suggest unneeded procedures. Her billing dept makes the filing of claims very easy, and they definitely do their part to see that the claim is honored. The delightful Lydia at the front desk is a great addition.

About Hygienist: Martha, Dr. Maus' assistant is equally professional yet kind and gentle. All in all, a pretty nice experience for a dental visit!

I had been looking for not only a good dentist, but an honest one also since I've had my share of bad dentists in my lifetime. Dr. Maus is absolutely the best dentist experience I've had bar none. Her staff was pleasant and absolutely wonderful towards me and Dr. Maus was excellent also. The facilities was neat, clean and inlcuded all the high tech equipment you would expect to see at a dental office. I am glad I have found a great doctor and a great office so I can bring my entire family along. Usually you have a hygienist doing your dental cleaning, but Dr. Maus does this procedure for you. I cannot stress how great I felt at this wonderful practice!

I was unhappy with my previous dentist and had gone without regular cleanings and exams for over two years.

When I recently chipped my front tooth I needed a quick recommendation and was referred by a friend to Dr. Maus. When I called her office I explained my situation and was invited to come in on that same day. Dr. Maus repaired my chipped tooth quickly, painlessly and beautifully.

Pleased to have found a new dentist that I trusted, I immediately scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and exam. Dr. Maus personally cleaned my teeth and took great care with the extra work required after going two years without an exam, explaining what she was doing and checking with me to see that I was comfortable. Dr. Maus also sat down with me to look at my X-rays and to explain what she looked for when reviewing patient X-rays. I was anxious that I would need additional work done, but she informed me that I did not, and scheduled another cleaning in six months.

Excellent care, honest evaluation, great service! Small but immaculate office, with friendly staff, in very convenient Union Square location. Highest recommendation

About Hygienist: Martha polished my teeth and took my X-rays. Very efficient, professional manner and my teeth felt and looked great. She also realized I was having some difficulty with the X-rays and talked me through that - breathe through your nose, etc . Very nice to be taken care of by someone who is obviously such an expert at her job and also cares about the comfort of the patient.

I was referred to Dr. Maus by my former dentist when I moved up to SF. All the wonderful things people wrote about her on Dr. Oogle are true.

Dr. Maus is very professional and virtually painless. Her equipment is state of the art and she is the only dentist I've ever been to that does her own cleanings (rather than using a hygienist). She took the time to patiently explain my options for tooth whitening and, to my surprise, she didn't simply advocate for the most expensive treatment. In fact, she discouraged me from going that route and offered me a free sample so I could try out the least expensive option. I can't comment on her overall prices, as my Delta plan covers the routine check-up that she did.

Her office staff is just as helpful and I will be definitely sticking with her practice for as long as I'm in SF. Another perk: the office is downtown -- easy to get to from the financial district and BART.

Today was my first visit to Dr. Maus's office and I was extremely pleased. I was about to give up on my teeth after a very anxiety filled visit at another dentist's office a year ago...but my faith has been restored. The facilities were bright and clean and they had state-of-the-art technology which put my mind at ease. Everyone was very friendly and they listened to what issues I had and made sure I was accomodated and comfortable during the entire visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Maus (and staff) to anyone; especially for anyone who might have a little anxiety about going to the dentist. Fantastic!!

I found Dr. Maus because she was in my neighborhood but followed her downtown when she moved a few years ago. She and her staff (Carla and Nydia) are superb. I actually look forward to going to the dentist!

Painless shots, never pressured to do unnecessary work, competent in every way. I was impressed when Dr. Maus, who used to work in a lab and is knowledgeable about making crowns, refused to mount a crown that was not the shade she thought it should be. She sent it back to the lab. I didn't mind coming back for a better looking crown. In short, she has '"the touch" in terms of aesthetics and procedures.

I recommend her all the time and will contiue to do so. Thanks, Dr. Maus!

My wife started going to Dr. Maus several years ago, while I was still seeing a traditional make-your-gums-bleed-then-make-you-feel-guilty-about-it dentist like a sucker. She had to drag me there to make me realize that for the same cost, I could go a dentist who's friendly, painless, and thorough. I can't imagine why anybody, regardless of how they feel about dentistry, would go anywhere else.

Dr Maus is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. She makes me feel very much at ease when I am in that chair. She explains things, treats me right, and is simply the best. I also feel as though a lot of dentist will charge you for things that you do not need. I NEVER feel that way with her. I feel as though she is as honest as they come.

I've gotten three crowns, several fillings and had my teeth bleached -- all with no pain! Everyone in the office is my best friend. I found Dr. Maus several years ago when my disabled/terminally ill husband needed to have two teeth removed -- he was sure she was an angel disguised as a dentist.

I now live about 3 hours from San Francisco, but I would not go to any other dentist, ever. I started going to Dr. Maus shortly after she graduated from Dental School. She is the best! I have always had a fear of the dentist, but not with Dr. Maus. She has small hands that don't fill up your whole mouth,and she's extremely gentle. Her relaxed demeanor really puts you at ease. Try her, you'll be just like me, and never go to anyone else.

I have avoided going to the dentist for as long as I can remember due to my fears.

I found Dr. Maus thru her website and I am extremely pleased with my results.

Because I needed an extensive amount of dental work she did my case under IV. sedation as that was the best option for me.

My veneers are great and my smile and confidence have improved 100%.

I highly recommend Dr. Maus, she is excellent, caring and has the greatest staff!

Aside from the slightly cramped reception area, this is a fabulous practice. Dr. Maus is pleasant, professional in every way, reassuring, and clearly up-to-date regarding her field. She places the highest premium on making me comfortable, and I can tell you based on experience that she is able to do the most sensitive, difficult things with the least amount of discomfort. She is engaged, but not wasteful of her or your time. My experience with the staff is equally commendable; they are helpful, pleasant, and work exceptionally well with Dr. Maus. They have a good sense of humor and so far are unfailingly attentive. They seem to know you personally rather quickly, and I feel as comfortable as can be when I arrive in the office. Their choice of background music is unusual, but appreciated by those of us who can't stand the torture of yet another bar of Muzak or feel-good, ambient noise. It's a class act in every way, located conveniently for those of us who prefer to live in a real city. I recommend this place unqualifiedly.

I was extremely fortunate to have Dr. Maus do my implants. I had my whole mouth done. She was the best. Though I live out of town in Arizona I still continue to go to Dr Maus for my dental check ups etc. She and her staff are very kind, professional and state of the art knowledgeable. The implants she put in my mouth are beautiful and I can eat and smile again. I cannot recommend her enough, especially for those that are anxious about the dental experience. Well - She has great chair side manner, my teeth are the healthiest they have ever been, she always smells nice, gentle hands, never places the tools in my line of sight, she is very conscience of helping and easing me through the potentialy painfull parts, gives me time if I need it, and the staff's 'before & after' office service is efficient and very friendly.

It is an office of profesional, beautiful, friendly & efficient people. What more can I say. Pricing is compairable to other efficiently run offices.

You will be hard pressed to find another in the City that compairs.

I have been extremely dentist phobic and didn't go to a dentist for quite a few years in a row. Dr. Maus is the perfect dentist for me. She does an excellent job at eliminating and minimizing any pain. She is very gentle and patient and always explains what she is doing. Both Dr. Maus and her staff always stop periodically and ask if I am doing ok with the procedure. I always feel that I can ask for what I need to feel safe and comfortable.

All of the work she has done has been top quality and my teeth are getting much healthier and are in good shape now. So far all the work she has done for me has all been done right the first time.

I absolutely recommend Dr. Maus, especially for anyone who is nervous about dentists. She will take good care of you and your teeth.

A very friendly and efficient service. Dr Maus gives me her personal attention. All staff go out of their way to be helpful and put one at ease. The consulting rooms are newly decorated, bright and clean with all the latest equipment. All my treatment has been a complete success.

I have been a patient of Dr. Maus for about 8 years and I could honestly say that she is a caring,dedicated and excellent clinician.

Her manners at the chair are wonderful and her staff are very friendly. In fact, her staff have been together for 12 years!!!

Whenever I go for my cleanings or any other required procedure I feel right at home.

I have been a patient of Dr. Maus for about 4 years. She has replaced all of my old metal fillings (10-12 of them!) and did a nice crown. Her manner is gentle and straightforward. She is forthcoming with helpful information. I have seen her work pleasantly and effectively with difficult patients. I cannot comment on fees since I am covered by Delta Dental, so not sure what the full fee would be. I think she is just great!
