Case Description
I'm 22, college student aka broke, I have CIGNA PPO insurance. I have my last wisdom tooth currently erupting (lower left, soft tissue impacted) all the others are straight and fully erupted. This one seems to be straight as well but is pushing all my bottom teeth together and is very painful. I know I need at least the lower two wisdom teeth pulled, most likely the upper ones as well. How much with insurance will the exam, x-rays and extraction per tooth most likely cost me? Will my teeth go back to their normal places after the extraction or will I have to get an orthodontist to space them correctly? What can I do for the pain until I am able to get them pulled(ibuprofen doesn't help)??
Thank you in advance =)

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Dear College Student,I guess you are aware that the lower wisdom teeth need to be out. The sooner you can get them out, the sooner you will feel better. After the wisdom teeth are out, you lower front teeth will not straighten out by themselves. You will need a retainer or Invisalign to re-align them. Please find youself a dentist (you can look one up at Dr. Oogle) and he or she will be able to give you a price quote for the extraction and give you a prescription for some stronger pain killer.Good luck to you.David Shen, DMD
