Case Description
I was in a motorcycle accident at the age of 7yrs old, where the handle bar hit my mouth. The two front two teeth were knocked out, and put back in with a ceramic mold to try and keep the teeth alive, by the University of Washington. It didnt work. In my teen years I had them capped, but then the caps wore down so my teeth were half white half black. In my early 20's a dentist pulled all four front teeth and made me a temporary partial, and I wore that temporary partial (25 years) until last week. I had to have a tooth pulled on the upper right side that held my partial in place. Now I'm without front teeth. The tooth that is behind the one that was pulled last week, is also cracked in half and hurting. I have one crown on the upper left side. I have a total of 8 teeth left on the uppers. I was told that the bottom teeth are fractured or cracked as well. The bone in my chin area has pulled away from my bottom front teeth. I had a full mouth exam done in May of 2008 and have that treatment plan & ex-rays. The total estimate to get my teeth fixed was over $21,245.00! I was told last week that I needed three bridges, one on top front, one on top in back right side, and one in bottom front. I dont have any dental insurance and dont have that kind of money lieing around. I've tried financing through care credit and didnt qualify. My husband has a good job and has been at the same employer for 15 yrs. We can make monthly payments, we just cant come up with it all at once. I'm very interested in getting the work done the cheapest way possible because there is no insurance. I am interested in having a full set of dentures, top and bottom. I've spent half my life, not being able to smile, and having to cover my mouth to hide my teeth. Its not done my self confidence any good either. Is there any dentists out there thats willing to work with us, so I can finally have a smile I can be proud of?

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.
