Case Description
33 year old woman missing all but 4 teeth on top and only 9 teeth on bottom, the 4 teeth on top are not healthy but don't cause me any pain anymore physically, just emotionally when I see myself in the mirror, and have to practice my facial expressions and words that I say during potential conversations I may have with other people so I can hide my teeth and hope they don't notice right away. My teeth have been slowly decaying and getting worse over the years because I havent been to a dentist since I was a kid, and had a bad drug addiction when I was a teenager, and now that Im an adult and have been clean and sober for almost 7 years, my extreme fear of the dentist and lack of funds, dental insurance, and resources have made this a down hill loosing battle for me and I just gave up a few years ago, and it has been a major source of emotional pain, embarrassment and stress that has put my life on hold and kept me from pursuing my goals, applying for jobs, dating, and letting opportunities Ive been waiting and working for all my life just pass me by. This is no way to live. My family is going to help me pay to have my teeth fixed but I have to do the rest and this is where Im starting.
