Case Description
A few years ago I had a dental emergency and I pulled a name from the phone book. I have no dentist of my own because I had a bad experience as a child and have neglected my teeth for years. I recently went back to this dentist. I asked him about dental discount plans and he told me that the dentists that accept these plans don't do quality work. Is this true? Ironically, he just did a root canal w/ crown ($1600) and the tooth still hurts and the crown is obviously too large for my mouth and my bite is off! HELP! I am skeptical about this dentist now and still need lots of work done. And I don't have money to throw away!

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

The reality is that in today''''s economy, dental discount plans are just one of many delivery systems available to patients. I have been providing quality care to patients for almost 24 years, regardless of their insurance situation. During that time, I have participated in a number of discount plans, and I continue to do so. Patients that have come to me through these programs have subsequently referred many friends, family, and co-workers as a result of the caring, quality service they have recieved in my office. Please check out my website to see photos of my work. If you do not have insurance or some other discount program, I would be happy to offer you a ''''self-pay'''' discount. I would also be happy to offer a no-charge consultation if you mention DrOOgle when you call for an appointment. I look forward to meeting you.

I have been solicited by dental discount plans before but have not participated with any of them and don''''t know any good dentists who do. It is not much different than an insurance plan except that the discount plan does not contribute to your care. You still get a lower fee than you would otherwise pay. Some plans are good and have good doctors but finding the right plan is not easy. I would try to find a good dentist and have them do as much as you can afford. Most dentists have financing plans to allow you to pay over months or years with low monthly payments. Don''''t go bargain shopping on your healthcare. The longer you wait the more expensive and complicated the treatment will be.

I offer financing and low fees in my office. We would be happy to offer you a discounted new patient exam (only $39). Call us at 847-918-0001

I am so sorry about your bad past experience! Of course it is natural to have skepticism if a crown you invested $1600 in is not feeling just perfect. Dr. Aneszko and Dr. Stino @ Water Tower Dental Care have a mulititude of patients that 1st came to them with almost identical experiences and similar fears that now laugh when they mention they "look forward to going to the dentist!"

The care and quality of dentistry that you will experience here will surpass all others and we have many payment options (NO INTEREST) which allow you to fit your dental care into your budget and everyday life.

Please give us a call today and schedule a time to come in and meet us!

I''''ll be waiting for your call!
