Huge front gap!

Huge front gap!

Need Dentist / Specialist: Yes
Provide Cost Estimate: Yes
X-rays Available: No
Case Summary

Teeth:
Last Full Mouth X-Ray: probably a year ago
Last Cleaning: 8 months ago
Case Description
I have a huge gap between my front two teeth (about 6mm). I also have a space in my back tooth (top right, 3rd from back) from a baby tooth that fell out and never grew back in. I was told once that the tooth is still up there in my gums, but I doubt it is ever coming out--its been several years. I have had braces for two years and all it did was space out the rest of my small teeth and when I took the braces off, my gap opened right back up. I tried to live with my gap, but I really really hate it. I know I would have a prettier smile if my teeth were straight. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Sincerely, depressed and tired.

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Dear Depressed and Tired,

There are often several different options to solve your problems based on your budget, your desires, and your time frame. Those options generally include veneers, traditional braces (yes, braces again), invisable braces (invisalign), and cosmetic crowns. For more information about these procedures and examples of patients I've treated go to www.MLDentalAesthetics.com. Do not get discouraged. There are ways to give you the smile you want. After 12 years of creating beautiful smiles, I have extensive experience with your problem. If you so choose, you may call my office at 610-644-2502 or make an appointment from my website for a complementary cosmetic evaluation. Sincerely, David M. Kaffey, DDS
