Dr. Kadanoff is perfectly competant, but like all dentists, his high pressure sales pitch left me uncomfortable. One always wonders if i really needed all the work he insisted on. I stopped going after I was charged for xrays that weren't done.

I know this doctor: 10

It's not that Dr. Kadanoff is incompetent or a bad guy. I saw him for several years, but just grew increasingly uncomfortable with his constant pushing of expensive cosmetic procedures. I really began to question whether his treatments were based on the best solution to the problem at hand, or the solution that would make him the most money. For example, I asked him to fix some chipped bonding I had, and he made me feel like an idiot, insisting he would have to do veneers and teeth whitening to match the veneers. I also could have done without him going to take personal calls during my visits.

My family are dentists, so I think I am somewhat knowledgeable about what to expect in a dentist's visit (my family are in Canada, so there is no way they could benefit from this negative recommendation). I went to Kadanoff in early 2001 needing just a cleaning. He more or less forced me to take a full set of X-rays, which were expensive and I had to pay for, saying that he could not proceed with the cleaning without having them (a staff member feebly tried to say that they were required by law, or something along those lines). When I told my family members who are dentists, they were furious. I have never been back and would avoid visiting him if at all possible.
