My teenager needed braces according to her previous dentist, he would require to pull out 4 of her permanent teeth. I asked about invisalign but he did not recommend it. We wanted a second opinion. Dr. Carter had an extensive examination of the alignment of my daughters jaw line and bites and was able to determine that not only did she not need to remove any of her permanent teeth, she would be able to use invisalign at the same cost of wire braces with only one year of treatment vs 3 years. Not only did we switch my teenager to Dr. Carter, we transferred the whole family including my husband and myself. Being in the medical profession, my husband truly appreciates the wealth of knowledge and professionalism that Dr. Carter has. My kids love how friendly and compassionate she is! She treats everyone with respect and yes, love! That's just how she is!

I was in a terrible auto accident, and it destroyed/broke my teeth. I am (was) admittedly terrified of dentistry, and ended up letting my whole mouth decay due to that fear. After it got so bad I wouldn't even smile, and people thought things about me that just weren't true, and I had severe infections repeatedly, my wife forced me to go. She spent alot of time finding a dentist that she thought might be able to deal with me, and she did. This doc is just incredible. She catered to me completely, and really made me feel secure & safe, and that was a tall order! After my very first meeting with her, I felt like I couldn't be in better care. She cured my infections first, healed my gums... and then to my surprise, let me know she could save my WHOLE MOUTH! I was shocked. every dentist I had seen (3) previously to get antibiotics had told me how they were going to have to pull all my teeth, making me feel judged, sickly, and hopeles. Because I didn't have dental insurance they didn't even bother to try. Not only did she save my teeth, but she restored my WHOLE smile. I have Hollywood mouth now, and I feel so much more confident. It's like I was given a new life. They worked with me on cost, helped me get the financing I needed too!
About Hygienist: Everyone in her office is not only nice & polite, but helpful, caring, and mindful of my needs. Her whole staff is awsome! Meticulous about their work, you can tell they all really care about what they do and genuinely helping their patients. They also don't push, and are right there to help in whatever way they can.... SMILING. You can tell by her, and who she employs, that this doctor really cares about you, how you feel, and your successful treatment. Never, ever, seen a better, genuinely caring dentist. Truthfully.

Great dentist. Great staff. Takes time with patients & does fantastic job on cleaning and whitening services. Doesn't do like alot of other dentists I have been to, who try to talk you into things you don't want. Had to get a couple fillings, no pain. Got gums deep cleaned, no pain. Saved me from a root canal and pretty bad ginvivitis that was making my gums receed. I smoke, and had bad stains from it, and now my teeth are white & sqeaky clean again. Told me all treatments available to me to improve my dental health but never pushed anything. I am not afraid of the dentist like I see some folks are, but I have to agree that everyone in the office is cheerful and actually fun to be around. When you can have good laugh at your dentist office, that's saying something.
About Hygienist: Very personable, nice, and friendly. Does great work with no pain. Takes her time to be thorough and gentle.

Dr. Carter was very caring and patiently worked with me over multiple visits to replaced 4 teeth with permanent partial implant dentures. She also did crowns and porcelain fillings for a couple of teeth that were still healthy enough to be saved. My smile now been completely transformed and looks great. I am now very proud of it.
His entire staff is also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

She is awesome.The smartest doctor .she gave me a most beautiful smile.You could tell she really enjoy her profession my veneers are still great after so many years. Her fees were in median range however the finish work was as expensive looking and functional as any other doctor with 3 times as expensive.I wish she never left Indianpolis.We all miss her sooooooo much. I am rating her fees as median

Dr. Carter has a strong reputation with many of the medical professionals in the Redding area, which is how I initially heard about her. She is confident and the work she has done on me has been thorough and methodical. I trust her work and her opinion.

I was at first pleased with her as a dentist until I was fitted for a crown and it was too small for the tooth and should not have been placed permanetly. This resulted in needing a root canal to relieve the pain and a new crown which she has refused to take responsibility for --despite x-rays from another dentist showing the mal fit of the origional crown which he refused to put back on the tooth. I am very dissapointed with her failure to take responsibility for this obvious mistreatment. She no longer practices in Indiana and has not returned calls concerning this issue.

This dentist has both saved my life through oral cancer screening and saved my career through TMJ treatments. She is a broad based highly capable generalist working in multiple disciplines of dentistry. The down side of this is that she is expensive and sometimes does procedures she does not have that much experience with.
