The overall care was ok. Good pain control. Helped with insurance. One of the hygienists was a little rude; however, another was very very nice, explained things very well.

I wasn't seen by Dr. Gallo per se, but by another member of his dental group, a Dr. Kory. The facilities were shoddy, though I might have excused that had the staff and service been better and friendlier. After an initial exam and x-rays, I was told I needed four cavities filled and a root planing/scaling, with a full irrigation of my teeth. Okay. Fair enough. The estimate: $1700. That included $150 per filling, which I later learned from my insurance company was in gross excess of the actual cost for resin fillings. Seems they'd neglected to update their procedure codes. Also included in the estimate was a $1640 anesthesia charge. I discovered that knocking me out for the procedure was entirely optional. In fact, I have had the root-planing done elsewhere in the past using a local. This office gave me no option, simply the explanantion that "the doctor needs to put you under." My insurance company called them next day and straightened them out on their procedure codes and charges, but I haven't bothered going back because I have basically put them in the category of "Milk the Clients For All They've Got."

Dr.Gallo Dr. Michels have over 4 offices. I saw an associate dentist under their management. DR.ALEXANDRA KORY. She gave me the worst exam...that I ever thought possible.
