Hands down Sam Gilani is the best doctor I have been too! I can truly say that Dr Gilani has given me something that I thought impossible to obtain--a beautiful, healthy smile. Over a three year period Dr Gilani and his team provided me implants, crowns, bridges, and even Bone J! Having had extremely bad dental experiences in the past I came to his office very apprehensive and fearful. He displayed the highest professional skills and sensitivity to my anxiety and that quickly built my trust in him as a competent and caring professional. He made me feel I had come to the right person for care. His entire office staff was always professional and friendly. He is truly a professional on top of his game providing leadership and direction within a cutting edge practice. I now have a beautiful, healthy smile and recommend Dr. Gilani to anyone looking for the best outcome possible!!

Dr. Gilani is a great periodontist! I had a front tooth replaced with an implant. His prosthodontist made me a beautiful temporary tooth that I did not have to take in and out, it was so natural looking that no one even noticed that I was having it replaced. My implant surgery was painless and my recovery time took half the time I expected! Great all around experience

Dr. Gilani has placed an implant to replace a baby tooth that never grew in. Naturally, I was apprehensive about having thi procedure performed but after meeting with the doctor I knew that he would be able to give me the best available treatment. His fees are also very reasonable for a specilaist and his office staff made sure to arrange and explain all of my financial responsbilities in advance so I knew exactly what I was paying and the services I was receiving. The office is warm and inviting and I felt very comfortable and trusted the entire team. I highly recommend Dr. Gilani.

I had the Pillar Procedure done by Dr. Sam Gilani and it worked wonderfully -- I no longer have sleep apnea at all. I really wanted to stop using the CPAP because it was such a pain. I got a new sleep test about six months after the procedure, and my sleep apnea was gone! The reason I waited six months was so that scar tissue can form around the pillars, which is what makes the whole thing work in the soft palate. Ingenious. The procedure was quite painless and quick. My throat was sore for a couple of days afterward but that was no big deal. Dr. Sam Gilani and his staff are fabulous. They really were caring, and they even checked in with me a couple of times afterward just to make sure I was doing fine. I can't recommend Dr. Sam Gilani enough; he's so knowledgeable and also really nice. The Pillar Procedure works in 85% of cases -- which means it doesn't work in 15%. Those numbers are based on some very good studies. I figured it was totally worth trying. And yippee, I ended up in the 85%.

I had 3 dental implants placed to replace some missing teeth. I was nervous about having surgery because I am a big baby and I was afraid of having pain. I hardly felt ANYTHING!! I was also expecting swelling afterwards because a friend of mine in Boston who had implants told me she looked like a chipmunk for several days afterwards, but I had no noticeable swelling at all, and even though they gave me a prescription for pain meds, I didn't even need to get it filled. Best dental experience of my life!!

About Front Desk: The ladies at the front office are always willing to work with my schedule to make it convenient for me to come in. I have never had a problem with finances at this office. I do have insurance, and they always submit in a timely manner and I can tell that they are on my team. My insurance didn't cover the full cost of my implants, so they were able to offer me interest-free payment plans. Everything about this office makes it easy to be a patient.

About Hygienist: Azita is my hygienist, and I've been seeing her for almost 6 years now. I hope she never leaves the office because she is awesome! She's friendly and very very thorough, and she answers any of my questions honestly without making me feel dumb. I'm not the most diligent flosser, and even though she reminds me that it's important to do it, she doesn't make me feel guilty about it. I love her!!!

The poor customer service and overall review does not necessarily apply to Sam Galani directly, but a system that he subscribes to at "Orange county dental specialists" that leaves a patient hanging with little recourse and poor results from too many cooks in the kitchen. If I had to do it all over again, I would have a general dentist do my implant because they see the vision from start to finish and don't just do their part and then have no regard of what any of the follow through is like. Dr. Galani did my implant , and did not address the gum or put any abubtment on largely because I was told it would be handled w my "tooth colored" abubtment to match a solid porcelain or zirconium crown. Later when I expected the proper abubtment, Dr. Lee gave me a METAL ONE ANYWAY! The first crown they tried to deliver had metal showing, the second was a lumpy blob that was trapezoidal and pointy. I wrote a letter to explain my concerns to avoid this again and they had no regard. I have had 2nd and 3rd opinons that state NUMEROUS problems that are expensive to correct now. Orange county dental specialist was bought out, the staff is rude now, and they refuse to give me my money back for a crown I never got and to fix the damage done
